ASSISTANT COACH, WOMEN'S SOCCER

Notes: This is a full-time, contract position. Schedule of hours is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with extended hours. Travel and travel outside of normal business hours will be required.
Essential Functions: The Assistant Coach, Women’s Soccer is responsible for assisting with all aspects of an NCAA Division I Women's Soccer program. This includes, but is not limited to, the identification and recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; supporting the academic progress of student-athletes.
The Assistant Coach will prepare and conduct individual and team practices, training, and competition; foster the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes; organize team and staff travel arrangements, as well as facilitate administrative duties and paperwork. Manage the distribution and ordering of team equipment and supplies; coordinate and administer special events and represent the sports program as needed in association with promoting and fundraising for the program.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree; coaching and recruiting experience with success at the collegiate level (minimum of 3 years).
• CPR / First Aid Certification and Level II Coaching Certificate required.
• Computer experience for tracking scholar-athlete performance.
• Experience working effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
• Excellent writing and verbal communications skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of NCAA regulations.
• Exceptional administrative and organizational abilities.
• Ability to act as a mentor.
• Strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes.
• Hired applicant must possess a valid California Driver's License; must successfully pass a background check through the Department of Justice.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree preferred.
• Women's soccer coaching experience at the Division I level.
• Strong computer skills.
