Job Description
The University of Cincinnati Raymond Walters College is a regional campus located in Blue Ash, OH. The Department of Chemical Sciences invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the assistant professor level beginning September 1, 2010. This position requires proficiency in English, excellent communication skills, a commitment to excellence in teaching and professional/ scholarly activities appropriate to an undergraduate department.
Job Description: Faculty responsibilities include teaching 36-credit hours per academic year. Teaching responsibilities may include analytical chemistry as well as freshman chemistry for majors and freshman chemistry for allied health students, both lecture and lab. All courses may be day or evening classes. Additional responsibilities will include professional/scholarly activities and department, college, university, and community service.
Min. Quals.: Ph.D. in analytical chemistry and college-level teaching experience as the primary instructor of a chemistry course both lecture and lab.
The ideal candidate has experience using multiple instruments and has research interests related to chemical education.
