Assistant Professor of Spanish (Latin America)
The Department of Languages and Literatures at the University of San Diego invites applications for a tenure track position in Spanish at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2010. We seek a generalist in Latin American literature (specialization in Andean or Central American literature and culture is a plus) whose qualifications include a Ph.D. (in hand by start date) and native or near native proficiency in Spanish and English. The candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching and scholarly achievement, as well as sincere interest in teaching Spanish language courses at all levels.
