Responsibilities
The College of Computer and Information Science and the Bouve College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University invites applications for a faculty position in Health Informatics at the Associate or Full Professor level.
Building upon our successful joint Master of Science degree program in Health Informatics, and our many graduate and undergraduate degree programs in health sciences, nursing, pharmacy, computer science, and information science, we are interested in growing our faculty in the area of Health Informatics. The candidate would play a key role in establishing a new interdisciplinary Ph.D. level Health Informatics degree program. Faculty in our colleges are currently working on multiple NIH funded research projects in consumer informatics, clinical informatics, and assistive technologies, and we are particularly interested in faculty candidates who can expand or complement our work in these areas.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. level degree in Health or Medical Informatics, Computer Science, Information Science, or a health related discipline, together with a proven ability to secure grant funding for health informatics research, is required.

The College of Computer and Information Science has a diverse full-time faculty of 28, with approximately 500 undergraduate, 250 Masters, and 70 Ph.D. students. The Bouve College of Health Sciences has a faculty of 276, with approximately 2,100 undergraduate and 1,500 graduate students.
Northeastern University is located four blocks from the Longwood Medical Area, encompassing Harvard Medical School, Children's Hospital Boston, Brigham & Women's Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and eight blocks from the Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center.
