Responsibilities
Athletic Operations Manager - This position is a full-time, entry-level position reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations to oversee the daily athletic game operations for all sports. Responsibilities include operating as the on-site event manager for athletic contests, supervision of student and part-time event staff personnel for the PA system, scoreboard operations, sound production, and ushers; meeting with officials and coaches prior to each event; setup and breakdown of game day operations equipment; and office support in the areas of game contracts and scheduling of athletic facilities and transportation.
Qualifications
A Bachelors degree is required. Up to 2 years of experience and knowledge of athletics operations management is preferred. Candidate must have knowledge of athletic event management and game protocol; good organizational, communication, and time management skills; and the ability to take on multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting. The candidate must be willing to work nights and weekends depending on the game schedules for each sport.
