CEI Senior Inspector I
Lead project inspector conducting independent complex inspections. Supervises lower level inspectors. Conducts field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation as well as other contract administration documentation. Duties also include inspecting work zones for proper traffic control setup, erosion control devices and maintenance thereof, utility coordination and right-of-way issue resolution.
Technical Responsibilities: Reads, interprets and explains construction plans, contract provisions and specifications. Reviews and prepares reports. Documentation Responsibilities: Documents pertinent field and office related activities. Schedule and Budget Responsibilities: Understands and adheres to assigned construction phase and task schedules and budgets.
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred. Four years minimum of experience in all aspects of transportation construction. Strong background in all aspects of highway and structure construction, as well as proven ability to instruct other personnel. Required FDOT CTQP Certifications: Concrete Level I, Asphalt Roadway Level I & II, Earthwork Level I & II, MOT, Nuclear Radiation Safety and Final Estimates Level I. Must be able to convey information clearly and effectively through verbal and written communications; reviews and edits written work constructively. Must have and maintain valid driver's license.
