The district sales manager will be responsible for delivering district financial results to support the Southeast region business goals for the Food Services Solutions business. These goals will be achieved through effective and consistent strategic planning, tactical prioritizing and the building of customer relationships. The district sales manager will also lead the professionals development of all direct reports, ensuring 10,000% commitment of Sales Force Effectiveness key principles, expectations and related behaviors from all of the members of the district sales team through effective coaching and leadership. The position reports to the region sales vice-president and will be home based in Atlanta area. Geography of the district includes: Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida and Puerto Rico.
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degreepreferred.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in 1 of the following areas:
• Leading Sales Professionals, B2B sales experience, or Leadership role within a business team (marketing, category, customer service, etc.).
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel is required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
• Prior business-to-business sales experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated coaching and/or professional development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully sell a value-added portfolio of products employing a consultative problem-solving approach.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently against a variety of objectives using time management skills to meet and exceed internal/external customer expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret strategic objectives into definable tactical initiatives, and consistently execute against assigned sales goals and objectives.
• Strong communication skills including oral, written, presentation and active listening.
• Strong project management skills and demonstrated capability
• Demonstrated ability to view problems, issues and needs from a customer's perspective; incorporating creative problem solving techniques to identify appropriate solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain consistently updated customer activity reports/files; or similar data-mining capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability for continuous learning in highly competitive, fast changing market place.
• Must be willing and able to travel 75% of the time.
