Reporting to the Associate Director of Administration, the incumbent will assume primary responsibility for the day-to-day operational and fiscal management of several divisions within the Department of Neurology, as well as the management of the Department's physical facility. Additionally, the Director will possess supervisory oversight of division administrators/managers.
Responsibilities will include management of faculty practice operations; facilities management; annual budget preparation for the Faculty Practice Plan, research, gifts and Hospital joint budget funding; preparation of monthly budget variance reports and preparation of other budgetary and/or financial analyses as required; drafting of business plans related to faculty recruitment and/or new program development; staff management.
The incumbent will perform special projects and/or other related duties as assigned/required.
Requires:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus five (5) years of related experience.
- At least five (5) years of progressively responsible operations experience in a hospital or ambulatory care facility.
-Previous supervisory experience.
-Financial management experience, including budget preparation and analysis.
-Experience in survey preparation for JCAHO review and/or state Department of Health site surveys.
Master's degree in health care administration or in a related discipline preferred.
