Responsibilities
Enrollment Counselors will assist prospective CPS students in becoming successfully matriculated students at Northeastern. Enrollment Counselors play a vital role in the recruitment of students to CPS programs and in meeting establishment enrollment goals for programs. Their duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

-Identify skills, interests and career goals of prospective students to help select appropriate academic program
-Assist in the student's successful navigation of admissions processes, with the ultimate goal of helping student fully complete an application
-Guide a student in initial and subsequent course registrations
-Remind students of approaching important deadlines
-Advise the student of what CPS and Northeastern resources are available to him/her and how to obtain these services. Examples of services include, but are not limited to, financial aid, billing, academic advising, academic/tutoring support, health and counseling.
-Act as a liaison for the student to those services to assure that student's questions and concerns are being addressed

The above listed tasks will be conducted via telephone, email, and other electronic means available.

Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree is required. Two years prior experience in counseling students in an educational environment or relevant transferable experience required. Strong interpersonal, phone, and communication skills required. Customer service experience is essential. Excellent organizational, counseling and communication skills are required. The candidate will have some experience in working with various databases and office applications such as the Microsoft Office suite. A demonstrated sensitivity to the understanding of the needs and concerns of a diverse population is also essential. Prior experience working in higher education and supporting adult learners is desired.

This position will require excellent interpersonal and phone etiquette, a positive outgoing personality, the ability to work in a fast paced environment, and a self-starter attitude. Individuals must be willing to work in a metrics driven position.

Additional Information
This position will be will require a flexible work schedule that would include some early evening hours.
