East Stroudsburg University is accepting applications for a temporary instructor for the Spring Semester 2010. Review of the applications will begin November 30, 2010. The part-time instructor in the Computer Science Department will teach 3 credits of computer science general education courses such as CPSC 100, 101, 103 or 105.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have earned a master's or higher degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline and will exhibit a strong commitment to teaching in an undergraduate, liberal arts setting. A master's degree is required. Applicants should have extensive experience in applications of Computer Technology to teach introductory computer literacy courses that include an introduction to Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel. The ability to teach additional courses related to the educational or business uses of computers is a plus. The candidate should be equipped to assist in curriculum development as majors in computer science and information technology are developed in the future. Additional responsibilities may include committee work and academic advising.
