RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary function of the Physician Account Specialist is to represent CuraScript in the development of corporate business relationships with key Specialty Physicians and partner with manufacturer representatives. Works in cooperation with Payer Account Director and operations to drive territory market share growth and profitability.
The sales process includes development and execution of strategies and or tactics in the following area: Territory Planning, Relationship Development, Presentation Development and delivery, and Closing,
Success will be measured by achievement of sales targets in the following areas; New Specialty Claims.
Essential Functions Include:
- Secure business from physician accounts on behalf of CuraScript by strong reach and frequency and account coordination. Work in cooperation with account team to promote CuraScript therapy management programs.
- Implement account and territory level strategies with manufacturer sales representatives. Providing presentation to physician offices to educate on CuraScript value proposition.
- Achieve territory growth, special product focus and profitability objectives set by management. Participate in and coordinate regional and national meetings, patient support group meetings, seminars and trade shows to promote CuraScript services.
- Responsible for attainment of work plan goals within set budgets. Document and maintain current information on market trends and competitive impact relative to core business.
- Accountable for annual sales planning for assigned territory, development of sales strategy and new sales targets. Responsible for attainment of work plan goals within set budgets.
- Works on special projects and tasks forces as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or related area, and/or at least 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
Minimum of one year of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience.
Demonstrated sales results preferably in a related industry.
Able to use proper judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Knowledge of PBM or health care industry preferred.
Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.
PC skills in using Microsoft Office, Email, and Internet.
Leadership skills, team-orientation, a proactive management style and strong commitment to sales and client service.
Organizational/prioritization skills.
Must be able to travel overnight 40-50% within territory.
Occasional evening or weekend work.
