RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist management in designing the scope and objectives of division projects, develop preliminary project plan, design and project timeline and determine necessary resources. Build operational procedures and documentation. Manage and track divisional and cross-functional projects and periodically report to management. Evaluate new and existing policies & procedures and related system functionality. Partner cross functionally with other operational departments to research and resolve issues. Provide continuous support and backup for management. Utilizes technology, tools, processes and resources to anticipate and exceed ESI clients needs and expectations. Collaborates with internal partners on client activity, expectations, and service needs.
Essential Functions Include:
- Assist management in defining Project Office scope and objectives, develop preliminary project plans, design and project timeline, refine project milestones, and determine necessary resources. Communicate project status to management by tracking and reporting status of projects, and cost and risk factors.
- Perform analysis of user and client documentation, and complex business issues. Conduct audits of contractual obligations, deliverables, and internal contract control measures to ensure controls and results are consistent with TRICARE Pharmacy contracts, division policies, and critical corporate goals and objectives.
- Work cross functionally with other operational departments to research and resolve strategic and corporate-wide projects and issues. Implement process improvements and system enhancements through recommendations from TRICARE Pharmacy Division project staff and cross functional partners. Gather data, research, analyze and provide customized reports and information to functional areas.
- Work collaboratively with business partners to resolve business needs or issues.
- Compile documentation describing all new functionality. Assist with the development of user training manuals, training plans, and operating procedures. May assist with training users and launching operating procedures.
- Special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree in Business, or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred
Demonstrated ability to facilitate and coordinate people and teams
Ability to independently interface with executives from business areas
Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet deadlines
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
Extremely detail oriented
Strong customer service focus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with health care or PBM industry
Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines
2 years supervisory or management experience
Demonstrated ability to effectively document business requirements
Project management experience, and the proven ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities
Knowledge of ESI products and services preferred
Experience training and coaching less experienced staff
Demonstrated presentation and documentation skills
Technical expertise of ESIs systems and processes preferred
Able to travel as needed for business (around 25%)
